Chef Mom and I went and visited the Blue Ridge Assembly last week so we could get great pictures and the full scoop on the location for our upcoming Mountain Retreat and let me say that I am pretty darn excited! The Blue Ridge Assembly YMCA camp is nestled into the woods of Black Mountain surrounded by nothing but trees. It is a pretty large establishment that has been around for quite some time and I do believe will become the home of all Scrappin' Mountain Retreats! Our particular building...Weatherford Lodge is a completely self contained building that is hotel style accommodations with two large meeting areas and a kitchen on the ground floor and rooms above. Each room has a single and double bed and shower/toilet/sink of it's own. We will even have daily refreshing of our accommodations while we scrap away! The parking lot directly in front of our building is ours and ours alone so we won't be schlepping from one end of the universe to the other to get all of our things inside! Mom and I have a pretty fantastic menu planned and some secret surprises up our sleeves so be ready for an amazing weekend!
